Graham Swift – Last Orders; a good read

Last OrdersLast Orders by Graham Swift
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unputdownable. A story of a group of friends getting together to scatter the ashes of their old drinking companions. Written in short chapters alternating between characters. The story is told by flashbacks and real time observation as the story progresses. Great characterisation and dialogue which reminded me a bit of The Old Devils
