Consultation over location of 400 new Ashbourne homes

Derbyshire Dales District Counil has launched a consultation on where new housing should be located in Ashbourne. the link to the detailed information is:

http://www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/images/documents/H/Housing_Allocations_Issues_and_Options_-_Appendix_2_-_Ashbourne_Sub_Area.pdf

But in summary the sites are a brownfield site at the Airfield, and three greenfield sites near the top of Old Derby Hill. Apparently DDDC publicised this some time ago but the press release on their site was 14th June and the Ashbourne meeting was 18th June. We’ve missed our chance to talk to the planners but there is a display in the Library and views are welcome on the DDDC website. When we were last consulted on the market we demonstrated a lack of interest. The Council has no alternative but to view silence as apathy.

We really must make our views known if we have any!
