How Far Would You Go? avoid or evade tax

There is a really interesting article in Taxation magazine (yes really) which shows an insight into the public views on tax avoidance/evasion:

The article is discussing the Government’s consultation in which it quotes a proposed definition: “Tax arrangements are “abusive” if they are arrangements the entering into or carrying out of which cannot reasonably be regarded as a reasonable course of action”

Not a campaign slogan for the those in favour of plain English but the article gives some interesting comments. Associated with this, the magazine is also seeking insight from anybody on what they consider “reasonable” with a test: . Give it a go – you may be surprised
