Sunday and a another super autumnal day, the walk starts from the visitor centre plenty of parking but only got a small group wanting an easy walk with Photographic opportunities and possible wildlife sightings, birds, not much activity there but good for photo’s very atmospheric, walking past the Bombing tower and a visit to the hides we emerge to cross the Wirksworth road to Carsington village and on to Hopton both very pretty villages, returning to the reservoir to take the high route through Hall wood, it’s so still and quiet today with hardly any breeze or sun, from this side you get a good vista across to the watersports and visitor centre, the path then goes round the inlet and through Lendow wood to join the lane at Upperfield farm, with the water being low and the light flat the dead trees on the shore look good in black…
