The success of last year’s competition has attracted interest from three local sponsors including artsbeat magazine which is delighted to be able to support the contest.
St John Street Gallery, at Ashbourne, is hosting a month-long exhibition for the winners, including a preview evening, and contributing £350 prize money, whilst Turners Art Supplies will once again be providing artist equipment prizes for the winners. Artsbeat is the official media partner and editor Amanda Penman will also be providing marketing workshops for the winners.
Organiser Suzanne Cannon said: “Over the last four years we have seen some amazing talent and wonderful results for our winners, from commissions and contracts to increased confidence making life changing decisions around their future careers.
“The competition is now in its fourth year and is really gathering momentum.
